<p>Over the ages, oral health care is delivered to the community, in different ways. The horse back dentistry of olden days has evolved into the most modern painless dental procedures, especially after the intervention of the anaesthetic solution. All over the world, different countries have different health care delivery systems. In our country India, different state governments have established the dental offices at different levels from the state capitals to rural areas where salaried dentist give dental treatment. Till few years back, majority of the dental treatment was rendered by general practitioners. But in the recent years, a trend has been set to render the speciality dental services by the specialists of different branches of dentistry. There is always a scope for the dental professional to start up own private dental clinic to render oral health care for a community residing in a defined area. For a successful dental practice management, proper laws and legislation must be followed and training to the team members is provided at regular intervals. As dentistry is a fast-growing profession, so the latest information and knowledge regarding the equipment’s, gadgets, and techniques must be updated. Thus, this review article gives an insight that how an effective and efficient dental practice management is possible.</p>

<p>The soft palate is known as velum or muscular palate, a posterior fibromuscular part ofpalate that is attached to posterior edge of hard palate. Functions of soft palate are sucking, swallowingand pronunciation. The classification system of soft palate can be important for the assessment ofvelopharyngeal closure and in diagnosing obstructive sleep apnea individuals.The aim of our study wasto investigate various shapes of soft palate in normal individuals.</p>
Bell’s Palsy- An Enigma

<p>Introduction: Bell's palsy is defined as an idiopathic unilateral facial nerve paralysis, usually selflimiting. Bell's palsy was first described by Charles Bell and is the most common cause of acute facial nerve paralysis (>80%). Immune, infective and ischemic mechanisms are all believed to play a vital in the development of Bell’s palsy, but the precise cause remains unclear. From corticosteroids to botulinum injections, wide therapeutic approaches have been employed for treating Bell ’s palsy. Here, a case management and brief review of bell’s palsy is discussed. Case report: We report here a case of a 22-year-old patient visited the department of oral medicine and radiology with a chief complain of weakness in left side of face since 4 years Conclusion: The aetiology is still unknown, viral infection, vascular ischemia and autoimmune disorders have all been postulated as possible mechanisms. It is believed that that the signs and symptoms should be diagnosed at earliest in consistent with Bell’s palsy so as to avoid misdiagnosis and associated complications</p>

<p>Spacing is a common complexity, can be seen in both maxillary and mandibular arches. In order to get the ideal smile that everyone aspires to, spacing is a typical difficulty that can be seen in the maxillary and mandibular arches as well as between any tooth. Lack of contact points and interdentally spaces are characteristics of spaced dentition. Depending on how many teeth are involved, spacing can be either regional or generalized.This case report highlights the treatment of a patient by usinginterdisciplinary approach of orthodontic and conservative therapy.</p>
Comprehensive Management of Maxillary Midline Diastema with Nonextraction Fixed Orthodontic Mechanotherapy: A Case Report

<p>Maxillary midline diastema is a common aesthetic concern with multifactorial etiology, including high labial frenum attachment, tooth size discrepancy, habits, and developmental factors. This case report describes the diagnosis and management of a patient presenting with a midline diastema in the maxillary arch. Clinical and radiographic evaluation identified the underlying cause, guiding the treatment plan. Orthodontic space closure was performed using fixed orthodontic mechanotherapy, followed by retention to prevent relapse. Significant improvement in aesthetics and patient satisfaction was achieved. This report highlights the importance of accurate diagnosis, orthodontic mechanotherapy, and long-term retention in the successful management of midline diastema.</p>
